Job Description :
• Develop mining concepts as well as safe and efficient methods to operate various mining projects.
• Optimize the mining plans to ensure the geotechnical stability of work and to maximize the economic value of projects.
• Audit all geological aspects for exploration or development projects (drilling, sampling, analysis, QA/QC and estimation of mineral resources) and ensure important recommendations are implemented.
• Support mining engineering (optimization, validation of parameters, implementation of mining plans, development follow-up, etc.) for various projects.
• Develop algorithms to identify targets for exploration and integrate them into a database.
• Draft drilling campaigns in cooperation with our blasting experts.
• Develop new processes for projects in the design, prefeasibility and feasibility phases and for existing projects.
• Watch for changes or evolution in estimation methods for mineral reserves and regulations on reports.
• Prepare operational and capital cost estimates as well as production schedules.
• Drafting reports and technical studies.

Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering or in a related field
• Member of a geologist or engineering association
• At least 10 years of experience in surface and underground mining
• Practical experience in ore deposits and in mine resources and reserves for many types of deposits
• Experience in managing databases, QA/QC protocols, geostatistical analyses and 2D and 3D modelling
• Experience in establishing budgets, in estimating and in scheduling
• Proficiency with specialized software for geological and mining modelling (GEOVIA, LeapFrog, Genesis, Gemcom, Surpac Vulcan, MineSight, Datamine, etc.)
• ASSET: Bilingual (English/French)
