Job Description :

Lead and coordinate BBA’s consulting services in the mining and metals processes sectors for the Montréal office.
Develop and implement market strategies with the Montréal Office Director and BBA leaders in other core discipline functions to stimulate growth in the Mining and Metals Processes group.
Actively participate in business development by identifying opportunities and growing the client base
Be a leading member of a multidisciplinary team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff preparing proposals, studies, reports, plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
Coordinate with other senior technical BBA staff to share information, identify market trends and develop a network of global resources to support projects, as necessary.
Carry out or delegate the senior technical review of studies for mining and metals processes.
Assist with implementing managerial and strategic initiatives, where necessary, as a key member of BBA’s Mining and Metals leadership team.
Identify and support continuous learning and training activities for the Mining and Metals Processes team.
Ensure the department undertakes its responsibilities and obligations in accordance with BBA health, safety and environment standards.
Identify resource gaps in our Mining and Metals Processes team and support the business group in assessing and recruiting them.
Oversee management of business development budgets for the metallurgical engineering sector (Mining and Metals Processes).
Represent BBA at conferences and professional association meetings in the field of mining and metallurgy.

Requirements :
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mineral Processing or in Metallurgy from a recognized university
Ability to register with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Hold at least 10 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and/or in assessing projects and staff management
Hold knowledge and experience in mineral processing and metallurgical extraction processes as well as in performing operating and capital cost estimates
Knowledge of reporting guidelines for the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 standard
Established network of contacts in the Mining and Metals Processing sectors
Interest and skills in business development
Experience in budgeting, estimating and scheduling, with financial modelling skills being an asset
Bilingual (English and French)
Occasional travel to domestic or international destinations.
