Job Description :
The incumbent will serve as a technical resource in preparing engineering documents for various feasibility study, preliminary engineering and detailed engineering projects in networks and telecommunications for industrial clients.

For network deployment projects, maintenance or operations, the incumbent will be supervised and serve as the technical resource for rollout, configuration and operational support (levels 1 and 2) for a range of telecommunications systems including IT infrastructure and networks, Wi-Fi networks, wireless and wired IP networks (FO/copper), IP telephony, etc.

The incumbent will carry out the following activities:
• Help prepare lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods while complying with the firm's Quality System requirements.
• Participate in carrying out testing for projects or at client sites.
• Implement technical information reports at client sites;
• Participate in rolling out and commissioning our solutions.
• Provide technical assistance at deployment and after project delivery.

Requirements :
• Telecommunications and/or network engineering technology, or any relevant combination of education and experience
• At least 2 to 3 years of practical experience
• Basic knowledge for configuring various pieces of network equipment
• Familiarity with different network management and security protocols, routing and traffic analysis
• Familiarity with network management and operation software
• Familiarity with various telecommunications protocols
• Bilingual (English/French)
• Asset: Cisco certification (CCNA)
• Asset: Knowledge of IT network management
• Asset: Familiarity with industrial work environments
• Asset: knowledge of various communication protocols for industrial networks
• Asset: Knowledge of best practices in IT infrastructure design, such as server rooms and telecommunications rooms
• Asset: Knowledge of the IEC 62443 standard
• Asset: Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems administration
