Job Description :
As an Industrial Network Technologist, you will collaborate with project teams on automation, industrial network and telecommunication projects for our clients in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors. You will participate in the design, integration, deployment, maintenance and operational support of industrial networks. The responsibilities of this role include performing the following activities to the highest quality:

Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparing deliverables to BBA and client standards
Prepare technical documents (specifications, procedures, instructions, regulatory compliance, reports, etc) in accordance with client needs
Prepare design deliverables (block diagrams, communication diagrams, schematics, etc) in a CAD environment
Perform device configuration
Take part in site audit, testing and commissioning at client sites, locally and abroad
Troubleshoot and solve technical issues on site or remotely.

Requirements :
Diploma in Electrical Technology – Telecommunications and Networks Option or equivalent
0 to 2 years of relevant project experience
Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both spoken and written)
Ability to travel on short notice to client sites and other BBA offices
A valid class 5 BC driver’s licence
Knowledge of industrial IT and control/telecommunications architecture principles and applications
Knowledge of industrial networks: Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, DNP3, OPC
Experience with IP industrial networks and devices such as managed switches, routers and firewalls
Knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82 and NERC CIP
ASSET: Experience with network design and deployment in keeping with best practices in the
cybersecurity industry
ASSET: Experience with historian-type databases (eg. OSIsoft PI)
ASSET: Knowledge of with SQL and relational database languages
ASSET: Knowledge of control system devices including PLCs, DCS, HMIs, RTUs, SCADA
ASSET: Proficiency with MS Visio.
