Job Description :
You will be part of our team specialized in industrial mechanics working in the mining, energy and petrochemical sectors. Your role as technician will be to help carry out engineering, technology selection and project implementation. You will design custom equipment using 3D design software, prepare various technical deliverables and mentor junior technicians. You will be exposed to different types of projects in the following fields: material handling, mechanically welded assembly, machining, dust collection, machine safety, pumping and industrial ventilation. You might also be called upon to manage projects.

As a team member, you will be required to:

• Develop 3D and 2D modelling and design.
• Participate in selecting commercial materials and parts.
• Prepare drawings and specifications.
• Produce technical data sheets.
• Occasionally coordinate the work of junior drafters and designers.
• Prepare lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods, while complying with the firm’s quality system requirements.
• Help draft technical reports.
• Participate in onsite technical audits.
• Develop and consolidate your technical knowledge.
• Occasionally deal directly with clients.
• Help coordinate and oversee work and the implementation of designed systems.
• Be responsible for own technical activities.
• Show creativity and innovation when resolving various issues.
• Perform detailed calculations (asset: able to perform finite element analyses).

Requirements :
• College diploma in mechanical engineering
• Over 10 years of experience
• Experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, energy, petrochemicals, etc.)
• Available to travel occasionally between the Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montréal offices
• Available for short-term assignments at client sites
• Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, Navisworks and AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanized welding and structures
• Asset: Knowledge of Revit, SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, ReCap and ANSYS
• Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
• Asset: Multidisciplinary knowledge (electricity and automation)
