Job Description :
BBA has a new opportunity for an intermediate structural designer in Vancouver office with 10 to 15 years experience. This role will support our projects in the fields of small hydropower design, heavy industrial plants, mining processing plant and waste water treatment plant. You will work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, other designers and drafters in preparing deliverables to BBA and client standards. This will include:

• Adhering to established design guidelines and procedures
• Maintaining accurate design files for reference purposes
• Checking 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability with other disciplines
• Interpreting complex drawings that incorporate interfacing structural design requirements with piping/mechanical, electrical and other aspects of industrial work

Requirements :
You must have the following qualifications:
• 10-15 years structural drafting and design experience preparing designs for structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood structures using AutoCAD/Revit

The following would be an asset:

• Structural engineering technician / technology diploma from a recognized college
• Knowledge of computer-aided design including MicroStation, Navisworks and/or Civil 3D experience is an asset
